Consulate General of France PhD Scholarship 2025 Available
Jerusalem, Palestine – The Consulate General of France in Jerusalem has announced a new scholarship program aimed at supporting Palestinian students pursuing doctoral studies in France. The France Excellence PhD Scholarships, launched for the 2025-2026 academic year, offer a unique opportunity for talented individuals to conduct research and further their academic careers at renowned French institutions.
The program offers two categories of scholarships: multi-disciplinary, open to all fields of study, and education and linguistics, specifically for students specializing in those areas. Successful applicants will receive comprehensive support, including a monthly stipend of €1,690, round-trip airfare, health insurance, assistance with finding accommodation, and a waiver of visa fees. Tuition fees at recognized French universities will also be covered.

To be eligible, applicants must be Palestinian nationals and/or have received their education at a Palestinian institution, with permanent residence in the West Bank, Jerusalem, or Gaza. They must also hold a master’s degree (or be in the final year of a master’s program), demonstrate proficiency in French or English, and secure admission to a recognized French doctoral school.
The application process involves submitting a comprehensive package of documents, including a passport copy, admission letter, thesis project outline, academic transcripts, and a CV. The deadline for applications is January 6, 2025.
